Our Masters in Diagnostic and Therapeutic Radiology and Medical Physics is a pioneering and highly innovative programme at the forefront of clinical research. It equips students with a solid grounding in multidisciplinary and inter-related knowledge areas, drawing on current trends in the field of fundamental and applied clinical and healthcare research.

The masters provide students with world-class training in ionizing and non-ionizing radiation, medical physics, and relevant aspects of environmental factors that influence carcinogenesis and tumour development. As a student on our programme you will learn about the latest advances in experimental methods and clinical applications of ionized radiation and non-ionized radiation.

Our course boasts a number of significant advantages. It is the only multidisciplinary programme of its kind in the field of radiology and medical physics in Spain. Our staff have both considerable teaching experience and practical hands-on experience working with public institutions (universities, hospitals, Andalusian School of Public Health) and collaborating in national and international research projects. The majority of our teachers are active in European societies and networks such as ESTRO (European Society for Radiotherapy & Oncology), HENRE (Higher Education Network for Radiography in Europe), CASCADE NoE (Chemicals as contaminants in the food chain a Network of Excellence for research, risk assessment and education).

The programme is designed to enable students to complete further doctoral studies and research with a view to pursuing a career in clinical hospital services, research laboratories, and public and private healthcare organizations.
