The International Meeting on New Strategies in Bioremediation Processes (BioRemid) will be held on 9th and 10th March 2017. This edition will take place in Granada and will be hosted by the UGR's Water Research Institute. The meeting is also supported by the Biodegradation, Bioremediation and Biodeterioration research group, which is part of the Spanish Society of Microbiology (SEM).

The objective is to bring together scientists and industry professionals, in a friendly and stimulating environment, in order to share the latest developments and innovations for combating environmental problems. In particular, topics related to emerging and priority pollutants, consortium-based strategies, and identification and monitoring of biohazards will be explored. Other topics such as biosafety, and new technologies such as nanoparticles will be also examined in depth. We encourage high-quality oral presentations on the most relevant topics in the field of bioremediation as part of this year’s meeting.

Specific network events will be scheduled for the 9th, with a view to building consortia aimed at developing future funding applications. Participants are encouraged to send suggestions and proposals for these network events to the organizing committee.
