Renowned experts from diverse universities, research institutes, and associations will explore an extensive range of topics, such as southern epistemologies, social participation, ethnocentrism, social movements, economics, the right to migrate, and food security, to mention just a few areas. To kick off a new season of exhibitions at the UGR, the Centre for Contemporary Culture will showcase the work of the prolific and internationally acclaimed artist Marina Núñez (Palencia, 1967). The exhibition, entitled Identidad y Vestigios (Identity and Vestiges in English), encompasses three subject matters that Núñez has consistently addressed from divergent perspectives throughout her artistic career; identity, the body, and death.

An Introduction to Cinematic Language: Part I (in Spanish: Iniciación al lenguaje del cine) is a pioneering cinematography workshop run by the University of Granada’s Cinema Club. As a student on the course you will acquire a solid grounding in basic cinematic language, including fundamental technical concepts such as découpage, camera angles, camera movement, lighting, composition, sound, music, and staging.

This phenomenon provides the Decolonizing Identity workshop with a starting point for initiating debate, drawing upon the fields of ethnography, social anthropology, historiography, economics, literature, philosophy and law.
