In September 2014, the Spanish Society of Ethology decided to extend its range of activities, incorporating the field of evolutionary ecology within its scope. The society was subsequently re-named ‘The Spanish Society of Ethology and Evolutionary Ecology’ in order to reflect this shift, and will hold its first international conference of this kind from 20-23 September 2016 in Granada.

The conference has been organized by an international and multidisciplinary committee of researchers in collaboration with the SEEE, the UGR, and the Padul Ornithological Station. The meeting will bring together renowned international researchers and experts from the fields of behavioural and evolutionary ecology in Spain, offering a varied and highly engaging programme, as well as an extensive range of complementary extracurricular activities in and around the city.
