Description | Public management and administration focuses on how to adequately spend the resources of a local or national government in order to improve infrastructure, facilities, and quality of life in society. Our degree explores complex and diverse public management and administration systems from a variety of economic, legal, administrative, and social perspectives. As a student on our degree, you gain the experience and skills necessary to become an expert in analysing and managing public resources effectively and efficiently. The Social Sciences Faculty in Melilla is equipped with all the latest information and communication technology and has a wealth of resources at the student’s disposal. Moreover, the teaching staff are highly motivated, experienced, and professional. This four-year degree is comprised of three learning stages: basic subjects, core subjects, and elective subjects. Students also have the option of completing an elective 18-credit internship programme if they wish. Subjects include contents in areas such as public policies, financial administration, public accounting, law, applied information technology, sociology, statistics, political science, financial systems and European Union law and institutions. Our graduates are highly qualified to become managers in many different organisations and in governmental positions, either in local, regional, national or international (EU) governments and organisations. They can also become private consultants, audit technicians, and managers in the private sector. Competent public managers are highly sought-after all over the world, as governments everywhere are constantly seeking professionals qualified in the discipline. This degree is taught in the UGR campus in the city of Melilla, on the north coast of Africa. |
