Undergraduate Degree in Construction Engineering

Programme Construction Engineering
Description Construction engineering is the professional discipline that deals with the designing, planning, construction, and management of infrastructures such as highways, bridges, airports, railroads, buildings, dams, and utility infrastructures. Construction engineers learn designing aspects, much like civil engineers, and construction site management functions, much like construction managers. Construction engineering represents a middle point between the theoretical, designer focus of civil engineering and the practical focus of construction management.

Our degree enables students to become professional construction engineers, capable of planning, designing and constructing a wide range of buildings and structures. In the different subjects, our students learn all the theoretical knowledge necessary to achieve excellent results in their professional work, as well as facing and solving practical problems.

Our teaching staff are highly competent, and have a great deal of experience in teaching construction engineering. Our faculty also has a wealth of resources to make the learning process more practical and useful.

This four-year degree has the following learning stages: basic subjects, core subjects, and elective subjects. Our subjects include knowledge areas, such as construction, physics, mathematics, economics, graphical expression, materials, law, and topography.

Our graduates are fully qualified to become professional construction engineers in Spain. This profession qualifies them to manage construction sites, work in technical, audit or consulting companies, maintain and restore buildings or design construction plans. With the new degree, construction engineers in Spain have more employment prospects, as they now have a similar role to that of construction engineers trained in other European countries.

Construction engineering is a vital profession that takes the plans and designs of a building and turns them into a reality. It is a profession with an extensive range of employment prospects, both nationally and internationally, and in the developed and developing worlds.
