UGR financial assistance for undergraduate & master’s degree students (Plan Propio)

UGR financial assistance for undergraduate & master’s degree students (Plan Propio)

UGR financial assistance

In order to promote equal opportunities in the sphere of university education, the UGR has established its own financial assistance scheme (entitled Plan Propio de Becas y Ayudas al Estudio).

The programme is designed to facilitate access to quality education and ensure that students – both at undergraduate and master’s level – are provided with the financial support they need to successfully complete studies at our Institution. To determine whether applicants are eligible, both academic merits and personal financial circumstances are taken into account.

Four different types of grants are available as part of this scheme:

a) Grants for public tuition fees
b) Grants for the purchase of stationery & materials
c) Grants for accommodation
d) Grants for University refectories

The UGR’s financial assistance programme (Plan Propio) is designed to complement the Ministry of Education, Culture and Sport’s grants and scholarships programmes. As such, it is important to note that applications presented by students who meet the eligibility criteria for grants from the Ministry of Education, Culture and Sport will automatically be rejected.

Furthermore, if you have already received financial assistance from other private or public entities to complete studies in the current academic year, it is essential that you inform the UGR Scholarship Service as you may not be eligible to receive an additional grant from the UGR’s ‘Plan Propio de Becas y Ayudas al Estudio’.

This financial assistance scheme is open to both undergraduate and master’s degree students enrolled at the UGR.
