The UGR Awards for Outstanding Research and Scientific Dissemination (Premios de la Universidad de Granada a la divulgación científica y a trabajos de investigación de excelencia) were celebrated on the 8th November 2016. The awards are granted in recognition of outstanding contributions made by researchers at the UGR and encompass six different areas: the humanities, health sciences, experimental sciences, social sciences, engineering, and innovation and transfer.
The awards are also an opportunity to highlight the UGR´s profile as a research-driven institution that makes significant contributions to all of these areas. Pilar Aranda, the rector of the UGR, chaired the awards ceremony.

Francisco Herrera Triguero, author of 'Hesitant fuzzy linguistic term sets for decision making'.
